WHAT A SHOW AT SARNO WITH MODENA KART DRIVERS!

WHAT A SHOW AT SARNO WITH MODENA KART DRIVERS!

Sarno, 15.06.2025
Exceptional show with the Modena Kart drivers at the International Circuit Napoli of Sarno for the Italian ACI Karting Championship, absolute protagonists in OK-N Junior in the third hot round of the Tricolour at the halfway mark of the championship. The three standard bearers Albert Tamm, Gioele Girardello and Nojus Stasionis, competing with Parolin chassis and TM Kart engines, were the authors of a majestic performance, always in the very first positions and all three able to take the final victory. It was a spectacle to see them compete and dominate among the 48 drivers competing at Sarno.

Excellent protagonists in OK-N Junior.
In OK-N Junior at the end of an exciting fight, victory went to Albert Tamm, who scored his second consecutive success in the Italian Championship after winning the last round in Viterbo. But Gioele Girardello also made it onto the podium with third place, after winning Prefinal-A and the heats. And on the edge of a thousandth of a second Nojus Stasionis, winner of Prefinal-B ahead of Tamm, sprinted to the finish line in fifth place. An all-round result for Team Modena Kart, which launches all three of its drivers to the “upper echelons” of the OK-NJ classification and to the attack on the leadership in a classification that is increasingly Modena Kart branded. In the championship Tamm has gained second position just 11 points behind the top, Girardello is third a handful of points behind his team-mate, Stasionis is fifth a few lengths behind.

Completing Modena Kart's positive picture in OK-N Junior is Federico Mirabella, who, after a series of good results all weekend, closes the top ten in the championship. Ruzgar Evci also competed at Sarno, with very interesting performances in practice and heats, unfortunately a retirement in Prefinal-B penalised his race. Also competing was Raffaele Minì, who was decidedly unlucky to have suffered a retirement in Prefinal-A and then an accident at the end of the Final.

In KZ2 good progress.
In KZ2 Alessio Piccini, Filippo Villani, Bati Ege Yildirim, Leon Hedfors and Esteban Alvaran competed for Modena Kart. The overall performance of the drivers was good, even though some circumstances did not allow them to achieve the desired results. Alessio Piccini had a good qualifying race, but in the Pre-final he was delayed and in the Final, also due to a 5-second penalty for the spoiler that went out of position, he finished in the rear. The result was better for Filippo Villani, who fought in the middle of the group until the last few laps. The other three drivers, Bati Ege Yildirim, Leon Hedfors and Esteban Alvaran, had to stop in Prefinal-B. However, they showed good progress in all phases of the weekend's races.

OK-N Unlucky for Spagni and Sulyak
In OK-N it was decidedly unlucky Luca Spagni, excellent protagonist in all the qualifying phases including the Pre-final, while in the Final he was immediately forced to retire as he was involved in a multiple accident at the start. In the OK-N also competed the Turkish girl Leyla Sulyak, who after a good qualifying in practice and an excellent first heat, was not able to enter the final due to a 5-second penalty in the Pre-final because of the front spoiler that went out of position.
