GREAT SUCCESS FOR MODENA KART IN OKNJ AT THE ITALIAN ACI KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP

GREAT SUCCESS FOR MODENA KART IN OKNJ AT THE ITALIAN ACI KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP

Viterbo, 25.05.2025
It was a fantastic weekend and a memorable OK-N Junior final for Modena Kart in Viterbo during the second round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship. The entire team sealed an excellent result with Parolin chassis and TM Kart engines, fielding a full line-up in OK-NJ with young drivers showing increasing competitiveness: Albert Tamm, winner of the final; Nojus Stasionis, who pulled off a spectacular comeback; Gioele Girardello, always fierce despite some issues; and Federico Mirabella, who continues to make progress. All of them played starring roles in an exhilarating final.

Modena Kart shines in OKNJ. Winning debut for Tamm.
Modena Kart’s drivers showed their strength right from qualifying, where Gioele Girardello, among the 62 drivers in the field, set the fastest time in Series 2 and the second-fastest overall. Albert Tamm, making his debut in the Italian Championship, set the best time in Series 1 and third-fastest overall. Nojus Stasionis, also making his Italian Championship debut, was second fastest in Series 3 and fourth overall. Federico Mirabella clocked an excellent fifth time in Series 1. The foundation for a great result was clearly in place.

In the heats, Girardello finished second overall with a win, Tamm was fifth, Mirabella 13th, and Stasionis 14th after a DNF despite winning two heats! In the prefinals, Modena Kart drivers continued to impress: in Prefinal A, Tamm finished second with the fastest lap, and Mirabella eighth; in Prefinal B, Stasionis was second and Girardello third.

The masterpiece came in the final, where Albert Tamm took control and claimed a brilliant victory, while Nojus Stasionis made up seven positions to finish fourth. Starting from the front row, Gioele Girardello unfortunately dropped to eighth due to tire issues. Federico Mirabella finished in a positive 12th position.

After two rounds of the championship, Modena Kart's drivers are among the frontrunners: Girardello is fourth, Tamm fifth, Stasionis seventh, and Mirabella just outside the top ten.

Other Modena Kart protagonists.
In KZ2, Modena Kart celebrated the season debut of Alessio Piccini and the return to competition of Luigi Di Lorenzo after more than a year of absence. Also competing among the 40 KZ2 drivers in Viterbo were Filippo Villani and Leon Hedfors. After the heats, Luigi Di Lorenzo was the highest-placed Modena Kart driver, while in the final, Alessio Piccini delivered the best result with a climb up to 14th. Villani finished 22nd, just ahead of Di Lorenzo, who dropped six places in the final. Hedfors received a penalty and ended up at the back of the standings. In OKN, among 67 participants, Luca Spagni recovered well from qualifying and finished 24th in the final.
