Modena kart closes a good WSK weekend on the Sarno circuit

The Modena Kart season has come alive with yet another demanding weekend, this time on the Campania track and again in three different categories: KZ2, Mini Gr.3 and Mini U10

KZ2 – European Qualifying In the premier class, Modena Kart has could also work in the FIA Karting function right away. In fact, the KZ2 European Championship will stop in Sarno in the last round scheduled for the next few months. Useful opportunity for Genis Civico and Maksim Orlov both proactive over the weekend. The Spaniard had to deal with a difficult qualifying on Friday, and then made up for it with four excellent heats, constantly coming back and among the fastest on the track. With an eleventh, tenth, ninth and seventh place, Civico then completed the comeback with a second ninth place in the prefinal. The good speed then allowed the Spanish driver to close his final in twelfth position in full battle for the top ten in the category. A very similar weekend that of Orlov, sixth in the group at the end of qualifying and held back by a retirement in the first heat. In the remaining three direct clashes, the driver showed good maturity finishing with a twelfth, tenth and eighth position. A positive trend also maintained in the prefinal where he was in full recovery until the five-second penalty for the incorrect position of the front spoiler. Unlucky Sunday for Orlov, penalized for the same reason in the final, finished in thirty-first place. Result that he did not reflect the potential once again confirmed by the category rookie.

Mini U10 - Just a step away from success Giacomo Giusto shines on the weekend in Sarno and continues his growth path. The Italian rider, already protagonist in the previous round, immediately showed a great feeling with the Sarno track managing to find the right speed already from qualifying closed with the fifth fastest time overall and second for group A. In the three available heats, Giacomo he did not miss the great opportunity considering his starting position, scoring two second places and a victory, valid for the pole position of Prefinal A. The last two engagements on Sunday saw the youngest of the team fight like a veteran completing the pre-final in fourth position and then fighting until the end for the victory of the Mini U10 final, leading the race for a few laps. Fourth place under the checkered flag to complete a top level weekend.

Mini Gr.3 – Pilipenko and Stasionis growing Mark Pilipenko and Nojus Stasionis made their debut on the demanding track of Sarno with the Modena Kart colours. Both in Group A after qualifying, they showed good things despite the close fight in the middle of the group. Prefinal A on Sunday morning then rewarded both drivers, good at recovering with Pilipenko twelfth with six positions recovered and Stasionis twentieth with two positions recovered. Qualification for the final missed by a few points for Nojus Stasionis and instead obtained for Mark Pilipenko, subsequently twenty-sixth at the finish line with another seven positions regained since the start.
