After the double podium in the Italian ACI Karting Championship in Triscina that launched Simone Cunati and the Modena Kart team at the top of the Tricolore standings, another important confirmation of competitiveness has arrived in the following first round of the CIK-FIA KZ2 European Championship in Adria. of the Italian driver and the team directed by Gabriele and Gionata Finocchi, with BirelART chassis powered by TM Racing engines prepared by Gianfranco Galiffa. A series of very high-level performances in qualifying and in the heats, and then the second place in the Final, have decreed for Simone Cunati the role of protagonist also of the European Championship, leading him to occupy the second position in the provisional standings and among the candidates to the CIK-FIA 2020 continental title. The second round of the European calendar will be decisive, set in Belgium in Genk for 6 September.
But in the European Championship held on the Adria Karting Raceway circuit, the Modena Kart Team also collected other important results with the Austrian Marcus Funda on his debut with the Italian team and author of a series of good performances, and with Luigi Di Lorenzo, both qualified for the Final and very fast throughout the weekend of the Adria event.
