At the 30th Trofeo, Andrea Margutti could have gone much better for Modena Kart and its two drivers, Simone Cunati and Luigi Di Lorenzo, but the performance recorded in Lonato in the race which in KZ2 saw 67 drivers out of a total of 237 participants in this important international event, they are there to demonstrate the competitiveness of both the bearers of the team headed by the Finocchi brothers. Simone Cunati and Luigi Di Lorenzo, on CRG with the TM engines prepared by Galiffa, immediately started very strong right from the qualifying tests, with the absolute pole position of Cunati in 45.827 and the 12th time of Di Lorenzo in the first series. Unfortunately Cunati, while he was leading in the first race, had to stop due to the chain breaking, thus compromising the result of the weekend, so that at the end of the three heats Cunati found himself ranked 17th despite a victory and a second place in the other two heats. Engaged in a difficult comeback in the final phase, Cunati was still very competitive, especially in the Prefinal and then in the final up to the 12th. Di Lorenzo, who had finished the heats in 26th place by right among the finalists, in the Prefinal ran into an accident during the second lap, but in the Final he also produced a spectacular comeback of 11 positions. He finished 21st despite a 5 second penalty for the position of the spoiler. Modena Kart with Cunati and Di Lorenzo thus closes the 30th Andrea Margutti Trophy with a good overall performance but with some regret. The appointment with the podium is only postponed to the next races.
