Convincing debut for Modena Kart at the start of the 2019 season in the 30th Lonato Spring Trophy. On the South Garda Karting Circuit, the team headed by the Finocchi brothers made their season debut in KZ2 with Simone Cunati and Luigi Di Lorenzo, succeeding immediately in highlighting his two drivers on the CRG powered TM chassis prepared by Gianfranco Galiffa. Already in the official tests of the event that saw a record number of drivers at the start, a total of 321 of which 57 in KZ2, Simone Cunati emerged as the fastest with the second best time of the Series with 46,052 at just 32 thousandths of second from the leader, together with Luigi Di Lorenzo also he in evidence in his Series with an interesting crono of 46.526. Unfortunately, Cunati's weekend was the first qualifying heat of the day to be compromised, when he was suddenly forced to retire due to a technical problem while leading at the beginning of the second lap in front of William Lanzeni. A truly unfortunate retreat which was difficult to remedy in the repechage race. Here Cunati tried the impossible but after recovering various positions he had to stop again, this time by accident. Such a pity! Di Lorenzo, on the other hand, was more profitable and after having taken a good 10th place in the drums, he confirmed to be fast even in the final where, after taking the 19th, he went on show, finishing in 12th position. The race held by Luigi Di Lorenzo was also excellent, as he is maturing more and more in a competitive category like KZ2.
